The Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on June 02, 2026, notified regarding the Facility for Cancellations of Overdue Early Pay-In (EP) Transactions.
The following has been stated:
• It has introduced a new facility enabling Depository Participants (DPs) to cancel intra-depository (within CDSL) Early Pay-in (EPI) transactions that are in “Overdue” status. The facility will be released on June 05, 2026, and become operational from June 06, 2026. DPs are required to review the prescribed upload and response file formats and make necessary modifications to their back-office and system processes. The facility is intended to provide greater operational flexibility in managing overdue EPI transactions.
• Under the new process, DPs can submit cancellation requests through a specified upload file containing details such as transaction ID, settlement ID, seller BO ID, ISIN, quantity, counter BO ID, and remarks. CDSL will generate a DPU8 Reverse Earmarking Upload Success/Failure Report that indicates whether each cancellation request was successfully processed or rejected.
• The report will provide transaction-wise status, error codes, and descriptions for failed records, along with a summary of total records processed, successful transactions, and failures.
