The Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on June 02, 2026, notified regarding the Revision of Manpower of ESIC & MC Surat as per ESIC HR Norm 2023 and NMC requirements.
The following has been stated:
• The ESIC circular on “Revision of Manpower of ESIC Hospital & Medical College (ESICH & MC), Surat as per ESIC HR Norms 2023 and NMC requirements” approves a revised staffing pattern for the institution in line with the ESIC Human Resource Norms, 2023, and the requirements prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
• The revised sanction supersedes earlier manpower approvals and aligns faculty, resident doctors, medical officers, tutors, and other healthcare personnel with the hospital’s commissioned bed strength, ICU capacity, teaching requirements, and specialty/super-specialty services.
• The objective is to ensure adequate staffing for patient care, medical education, and regulatory compliance, while strengthening the institution's capacity to meet NMC standards for undergraduate and postgraduate medical training.
• The revised manpower distribution covers various clinical, para-clinical, and pre-clinical departments, along with supporting healthcare services, and serves as the authorized staffing framework for ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Surat.
