The Haryana Industries & Commerce Department (I&C), on May 27, 2026, notified the IT/ATES, AI and Emerging Technologies Policy-2026, with the objective of promoting information technology, IT-enabled services, artificial intelligence, and emerging technology sectors in the State. The policy has received concurrence from the Finance Department and approval from the Council of Ministers in its meeting held on May 18, 2026.
The policy is intended to provide a comprehensive framework for fostering investment, innovation, entrepreneurship, employment generation, and the growth of technology-driven industries across Haryana. It is expected to support the development of a robust ecosystem for AI and emerging technologies while strengthening the State’s position as a technology and innovation hub.
The policy will remain in force for a period of five years from the date of its notification or until the introduction of a new policy or amendment by the Government of Haryana, whichever occurs earlier.
