The Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh on April 29, 2026, invited comments/suggestions draft from stakeholders on the Code on Social Security (Ladakh) Rules, 2026
The Labour and Employment Department of the Union Territory of Ladakh has issued the draft Code on Social Security (Ladakh) Rules, 2026 vide S.O. No. 183 dated April 29, 2026. These draft rules have been prepared in line with the directions of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.
The rules are framed under the Code on Social Security, 2020 (Act No. 36 of 2020) and aim to consolidate and regulate provisions relating to social security. Their primary objective is to extend comprehensive social security coverage to workers across all sectors, including organized, unorganized, and other categories within Ladakh.
Before finalizing the rules, the Department has invited comments and suggestions from stakeholders and the general public. A copy of the draft rules has been provided for reference to facilitate informed feedback.
