The Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh on May 31, 2026, issued amendments in the Union territory of Ladakh Liquor Licence and Sale Rules, 1984.
The following amendments have been stated:
• ln Rule 30, the following shall be substituted: "Licences for wholesale vends as well as retail vends of liquor shall be issued, ensuring that no such vend shall come up within 100 meters distance from any religious place, ' educational institution, hospital, or public park. "
• In clause (i) of sub-rule (12) of Rule 38 of the said rules, for words and figures "any man under the age of 21 years or any woman", the words and figures "any person under the age of2l years" shall be substituted.
