The Ministry of Textiles (MoT) on June 01, 2026, notified regarding the Final Fixation of Maximum Ex-Factory Prices for 580 gm B-Twill Jute Bags for March–December 2017.
The following has been stated:
• The Office of the Jute Commissioner has issued a notification under the Jute and Jute Textiles Control Order, 2016, finally fixing the maximum ex-factory prices for 580 gm Type-A and Type-B B-Twill jute bags for the period from March to December 2017. The notification specifies month-wise prices for bags supplied with and without raw jute linkage, with ex-factory prices ranging from approximately ₹67,489 to ₹72,391 per metric tonne and ₹3,914 to ₹4,199 per 100 bags, depending on the month and linkage status.
• The notification also reiterates that the bags shall conform to BIS Specification IS 16186:2014 (Amendment No. 1) for size, weight, and quality standards. Each bag shall bear the prescribed emblem, the name of the manufacturing mill, and the BIS certification marking, and shall meet the required minimum breaking strength standards.
