The National Commodity Clearing Limited (NCCL) on June 04, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Mock Trading with Primary DR Site Failover on June 06, 2026.
The following has been stated namely: -
• NCCL has scheduled a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) mock trading session on Saturday, June 06, 2026 to test its systems.
• The mock trading session at the primary site will be conducted from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM for all commodities and the RAINMUMBAI contract, with a pre-open session from 10:45 AM to 11:00 AM.
• Trading will be abruptly disconnected between 12:50 PM and 1:00 PM to simulate a disaster event, and member logins will remain disabled until migration to the DR site is completed.
• Members are advised to take backups of mock trading data, if required, before the migration to facilitate reconciliation after trading resumes from the DR site.
• Trading from the DR site will resume with a pre-open session from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM. Trading for all commodities (except RAINMUMBAI) will continue until 4:00 PM, while RAINMUMBAI trading will continue until 5:30 PM.
• The mock exercise will cover key systems, including Web NCFE, Web Extranet, RMS, and NCMS/NCSS, and no configuration changes are required at members’ end to connect to the DR site.
• Production Web NCFE and Web Extranet will remain unavailable from 4:00 AM on June 06, 2026 until 12:00 AM on June 07, 2026. Additionally, client allocation, collateral segregation reporting, and limit file processing will not occur during this period.
• Members are requested to actively participate in the mock session, re-login to the live environment during the 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM re-login window, and ensure their systems are restored to the production state. Trades executed during the mock session will not create any fund or commodity settlement obligations.
