The Ministry of Textiles, on June 05, 2026, issued the Ropes and Cordages (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2026.
The following has been stated:
In the Ropes and Cordages (Quality Control) Order, 2024, in clause 3, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely: – “Provided that this Order shall not apply to goods or article, specified in column (2) of the Schedule against serial number 7, made out of recycled plastic waste for a period of twelve months from the date of publication of the Ropes and Cordages (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2026.”.
It shall come into force on June 08, 2026.
