The Government of India (GoI) on June 07, 2026, issued a notification regarding Ease of Doing Business: Strengthening India’s Business Framework.
The following has been stated:-
•India has significantly improved its Ease of Doing Business environment through digital governance, regulatory simplification, and trust-based administration.
•Key reforms such as Startup India, Udyam Registration, SPICe+, GST, labour codes, National Single Window System, and digital land records have streamlined business registration, compliance, property registration, and approvals.
•The government has also enhanced market access, logistics, credit availability, tax compliance, and cross-border trade through initiatives like GeM, ONDC, PM GatiShakti, UPI, and ICEGATE.
•Compliance burdens have been reduced through decriminalisation of offences under the Jan Vishwas Acts and large-scale regulatory reforms.
•These measures have strengthened investor confidence, promoted entrepreneurship, improved digital service delivery, and positioned India as a more competitive and business-friendly economy.
