Citizens have been advised to avoid rivers, streams, waterfalls, flooded roads, and vulnerable hill roads, and to secure loose objects that may be displaced by strong winds. Special precautions have also been recommended for travelers, farmers, students, and livestock owners.
During thunderstorms and lightning, the public has been urged to remain indoors, avoid open fields, tall trees, electric poles, and power lines, and switch off electrical appliances where necessary. Parents and schools have been advised to ensure that children remain indoors during adverse weather conditions, while farmers should suspend outdoor activities and move livestock to safe shelters.
Residents have been requested to follow weather warnings issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and the District Administration and to report emergencies through the designated helplines. Emergency assistance is available through the Disaster Management authorities, local Block Development Offices, Police Control Rooms, District Control Room, and the emergency response number 112.
