The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on May 27, 2026, issued the date of establishment and withdrawal of certain Indian Standards (IS).
The following IS have been established on May 26, 2026, namely: -
• IS 8810: 2026 – Rougine for Lacrimal Sac, Rollet’s Pattern — Specification (Second Revision)
• IS 16724: 2026 – Explosive Atmospheres — Electrical Installation Design, Selection and Installation of Equipment, Including Initial Inspection [IEC 60079-14: 2024, MOD] (First Revision)
The following IS will be withdrawn on November 26, 2026, namely: -
• IS 8810: 1985 – Specification for Rougine for Lacrimal Sac, Rollet’s Pattern (Modified) (First Revision)
• IS 16724: 2018 / IEC 60079-14: 2013 – Explosive Atmospheres — Electrical Installations Design, Selection and Erection.
