Secretarial ComplianceThe Multi Commodity Exchange Clearing Corporation Limited (MCXCCL), on June 11, 2026, issued a revised circular prescribing updated procedures for the deposit and storage of Mentha Oil at MCXCCL Accredited Warehouses (MAWs) for deliveries on the exchange platform. The circular supersedes earlier circulars issued in May and June 2025 and consolidates all subsequent amendments and operational requirements.

A key modification relates to the sampling and analysis process at the time of deposit. Under the revised framework, the sample intended for the assayer’s qualitative analysis must now be submitted in a tamper-proof aluminium bottle with a unique embossed seal number. MCXCCL has also emphasized that sample labels should not contain depositor details and should only carry the prescribed sample identification information to maintain neutrality and integrity in the testing process.

The revised norms are aimed at strengthening quality assurance, traceability, and transparency in the warehousing and delivery mechanism for Mentha Oil contracts. All clearing members and market participants intending to deposit Mentha Oil for exchange delivery have been advised to comply with the updated procedures with immediate effect.
