Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Ministry of Finance (MoF) on June 10, 2026, amended an older notification No. 4/2021-Customs (CVD) dated September 21, 2021, related to the extension of the Countervailing Duty on Subsidized Imports.

The following has been stated:-

•The Central Government has amended Notification No. 4/2021-Customs (CVD) to extend the validity of the countervailing duty (CVD) imposed on specified subsidized imported goods. 

•The amendment provides that the existing CVD shall remain in force up to and including March 23, 2027, unless it is revoked, superseded, or amended earlier. 

•This change ensures the continued application of trade remedial measures against subsidized imports causing injury to the domestic industry. 

•The amendment has been issued under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 and the relevant Countervailing Duty Rules, 1995.
