Industry Specific ComplianceThe Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on June 12, 2026, notified regarding the withdrawal of the method for the determination of fruit content in fruit juices.

It has withdrawn Method No. 2.11 for the determination of fruit content in fruit juices from the Manual of Methods of Analysis of Foods – Fruit and Vegetable Products. Until a revised method is notified, food testing laboratories may use any validated analytical method prescribed by recognized international or national standards-setting bodies such as AOAC, ISO, CODEX, BIS, IUPAC, Pearson's, Jacob, Joslyn, Winton-Winton, Woodmen, or other internationally recognized regulatory agencies. All FSSAI-notified food testing laboratories have been directed to implement this change with immediate effect.
