Industry Specific ComplianceThe U.T. Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, on June 08, 2026, issued the Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu School Education Rules, 2026.

The following has been stated:-

•These rules were finalized after a 30-day public notice window yielded no objections or suggestions from stakeholders regarding the initial draft. 

•This framework structures school education into foundational, preparatory, middle, and secondary stages covering ages 3 to 18. 

•To regulate education efficiently, the territory will be divided into administrative Blocks and further subdivided into Educational Clusters. 

•The administration mandates the provision of free school education for all children up to the age of 14 years and requires schools to implement the language pattern notified under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. 

•Furthermore, vocational education is slated for integration across all schools, while religious institutions must obtain formal recognition and align with a recognized public examination board's curriculum.

• Strict disciplinary guidelines are outlined, prohibiting practices such as bullying, substance use, and vandalism, while strictly banning corporal punishment. 

•Finally, the text establishes strict protocols for private schools seeking recognition, dictating that they must be run by registered non-profit societies or trusts, maintain proper safety and sanitary infrastructure, and obtain prior official approval before establishing new classes or closing operations.

They shall come into force from June 08, 2026.
