Industry Specific ComplianceThe National Stock Exchange (NSE) on June 09, 2026, issued the notification regarding NSE taking a Lead to Accelerate Social Transformation by Earmarking 10% of its CSR Corpus through NSE.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) has decided to earmark 10% of its annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) corpus for projects listed on the NSE Social Stock Exchange (NSE-SSE).

• This decision follows the Ministry of Corporate Affairs notifications dated May 27, 2026, which permit companies to undertake CSR spending through subscription to Zero Coupon Zero Principal (ZCZP) Instruments listed on Social Stock Exchanges.

• NSE aims to strengthen India's social impact ecosystem by channelizing CSR funds through a transparent, regulated, and outcome-oriented framework.

• By deploying its own CSR corpus through the SSE platform, NSE seeks to encourage other corporations and institutions to adopt similar social financing mechanisms.

• According to NSE Chairperson Injeti Srinivas, routing CSR funds through the Social Stock Exchange will improve transparency, visibility, accountability, and impact measurement of CSR contributions and could make India a global model for CSR-driven development.
