The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on June 15, 2026, issued a notification regarding the launch of 11 New Sectoral Indices.
The following has been stated:-
•NSE Indices Limited has launched 11 new sectoral indices covering sectors such as Power, Capital Goods, Telecommunications, Construction, Retail, Hospitals, NBFCs, Housing Finance, and Insurance.
•With this addition, the total number of NSE sectoral indices has increased to 34, providing broader and more granular representation of India's economy.
•These indices are expected to serve as benchmarks for asset managers and as reference indices for ETFs, index funds, and other passive investment products.
