Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Goa on June 12, 2026, notified regarding the Prohibition of Strikes in Pharmaceutical Sector in Goa for Six Months.

The Government of Goa, in exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Goa Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1988 (Goa Act No. 20 of 1989), and being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest, hereby prohibits strikes in any form in all establishments engaged in the manufacturing, packaging, distribution, and transportation of pharmaceutical products and their components in the pharmaceutical sector within the State of Goa.

This order shall come into force with immediate effect and shall remain valid for a period of six months from June 17, 2026.
