CBIC revised the tariff values applicable for customs valuation of specified imported commodities

Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), on June 15, 2026, revised the tariff values applicable for customs valuation of specified imported commodities by amending Notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.). The revised tariff values cover crude and refined palm oil, palmolein, crude soybean oil, brass scrap, gold, silver, and areca nuts.

The notification prescribes updated tariff values including US$ 1,232/MT for Crude Palm Oil, US$ 1,238/MT for RBD Palm Oil, US$ 1,248/MT for Crude Soybean Oil, and US$ 7,814/MT for Brass Scrap. The tariff value for gold has been fixed at US$ 1,348 per 10 grams, while silver has been fixed at US$ 2,175 per kilogram for specified import categories.

The revised tariff values will come into force from June 16, 2026, and will be used for determining customs duties on the notified goods.
