Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Rajasthan, on June 12, 2026, issued a notification regarding Make in India Purchase Preference, 2026.

The following has been stated:-

•Rajasthan Government has mandated preference for Class-I Local Suppliers (minimum 50% local content) in public procurement to promote Make in India, Aatmanirbhar Bharat, and domestic industry. 

•A 20% Margin of Purchase Preference has been prescribed for eligible local suppliers. 

•When non-preferred categories emerge as L-1 bidders, procurement quantities will be distributed among Rajasthan MSEs, local suppliers, and the original L-1 bidder as specified in the notification. 

•Rajasthan MSEs receive purchase preference, with 4% of the earmarked MSE quantity reserved for SC/ST-owned MSEs. 

•For divisible procurements, eligible local suppliers may match the L-1 rate to obtain preference; for non-divisible procurements, the contract will be awarded to the original L-1 bidder.
