The Ministry of Power (MoP) on June 10, 2026, issued a notification regarding the repeal of the Standards and Labelling Programme for Tubular Fluorescent Lamps.
The following has been stated:-
•The Central Government has repealed the 2018 notification relating to the Standards and Labelling Programme for Tubular Fluorescent Lamps, effective from July 01, 2026.
•The repeal will not affect any actions taken or omitted before this date, which will continue to be treated as valid under the Energy Conservation Act, 2001.
