The Government of Madhya Pradesh on June 15, 2026, issued the Madhya Pradesh Upkar (Sanshodhan) Adhyadesh, 2026 to further amend the Madhya Pradesh Upkar Adhiniyam, 1981.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In section 9 of the principal Act, in sub-section (1), at the end of the proviso, for full stop colon shall substituted and thereafter the following proviso shall be added, namely:-
"Provided further that the State Government may, by notification, exempt any instrument or class of instruments form the liability and payment of cess payable under this part.".
