Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeiTY) on June 17, 2026, notified regarding the Jan Aadhaar (Family ID) Integrated with DigiLocker, Enabling Digital Access for 7.5 Crore Rajasthan Residents.

The following has been stated:

• The Government of Rajasthan has integrated Jan Aadhaar (Family ID) with the DigiLocker platform, enabling around 7.5 crore residents to securely access, store, and share their Family ID digitally. Citizens can now fetch their existing Jan Aadhaar credentials through DigiLocker or digitally apply for a new Family ID using DigiLocker’s consent-based system, eliminating the need for physical documents.

• The integration is expected to simplify access to a wide range of government services and welfare schemes linked to Jan Aadhaar, including healthcare benefits under the Chiranjeevi Scheme, public distribution system (PDS) services, scholarships, and other social welfare programs.

• The initiative promotes paperless governance, improves citizen convenience, and strengthens India's digital public infrastructure by making essential identity credentials readily available through DigiLocker.
