The Government of Himachal Pradesh on June 11, 2026, issued the Right of children to Free and Compulsory Education, Himachal Pradesh (1St Amendment) Rules, 2026 to further amend the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education, Himachal Pradesh Rules, 2025.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education, Himachal Pradesh Rules, 2025 (hereinafter referred to as the `said rules'), after sub-rule(9) of rule-9, the following shall be inserted, namely:-
"(10) The period of recognition shall be for such time as may be notifiied by the State Government from time to time."
• In Form No.-II appended to the said rules,
(i) the words "of three years" shall be deleted ; and
(ii) In condition 5(i), after the words “held back in any class", the following shall be inserted, namely,-
“, except in such manner and subject to such conditions as provided in rule 10A,”
