The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on June 19, 2026, issued Circular on Lead Bank Scheme.
The Reserve Bank of India issued a draft circular on February 13, 2026, proposing revised guidelines for the Lead Bank Scheme (LBS) and invited public feedback on the same.
The feedback received from stakeholders was reviewed, and necessary changes were incorporated into the final version of the guidelines. A detailed statement outlining key feedback points and corresponding actions taken has been included in the Annex.
Accordingly, the RBI has now issued the revised circular on the Lead Bank Scheme, formalizing the updated framework after considering public inputs.
