The Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) on June 19, 2026, issued circular on Increase in Number of Partitions.
The Exchange has announced the introduction of a new Partition (Partition 7) effective from June 22, 2026. Initially, Copper products (OFCOPPER and FUCOPPER) will be migrated to this new partition. Updated product partition details will be reflected in the master reference data file (Mcxscrip.bcp) available on the SFTP server.
Members are required to make necessary system changes and test them during the mock trading session scheduled for June 21, 2026. Additionally, all pending GTD and GTC orders for the specified Copper products will be cancelled at the end of day on June 19, 2026. Members using ETI API applications must update partition-specific message configurations accordingly.
From a market data perspective, a new Stream 7 will be introduced in EMDI, and EOBI will provide tick-by-tick data for Copper products through this stream. Partition ID will also serve as the identifier for EOBI and EMDI streams, with connectivity details provided in the relevant mock circular.
All these changes will go live from June 22, 2026.
