The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on June 19, 2026, notified regarding the Extension of Trading timings of the EGR (Electronic Gold Receipt) segment.
The following has been stated:
• The Exchange has announced revised trading hours for the Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR) segment, effective June 29, 2026, by extending the continuous trading session and discontinuing the post-closing session. Under the revised schedule, normal trading days will commence with a pre-open session from 8:45 AM to 9:00 AM, followed by continuous trading from 9:00 AM until 11:30 PM (or 11:55 PM during applicable US daylight savings periods). An afternoon block-deal window will run from 3:05 PM to 3:20 PM, while the auction market will be available from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Trade modifications will be permitted up to 11:45 PM or 11:59 PM, after which the Bhav Copy will be generated.
• For trading holidays where an evening session is conducted, the pre-open session will run from 5:00 PM to 5:15 PM, followed by continuous trading until 11:30 PM/11:55 PM. The circular also reiterates details of the six EGR instruments available for trading, covering gold receipts of 100 milligrams, 1 gram, and 10 grams with purity levels of 995 and 999. Additionally, members have been advised regarding the availability of connectivity parameters, security master files, price band files, trading APIs, and market data APIs through the Exchange’s designated member and EGR portals.
