The Government of Himachal Pradesh, on March 10, 2026, notified the Municipal Council Ghumarwin, Property Taxation (Amendment) Bye-laws, 2026 to amend the Property Taxation Bye-laws, 2025.
The following has been stated:-
•The amendment revises Clause 22 of the Municipal Council Ghumarwin Property Taxation Bye-laws, 2025, relating to location factors for determining ratable values of lands and buildings.
•The municipal area has been reclassified into two zones, Zone A and Zone B, while Zone C has been deleted.
•Zone A covers areas within 100 meters on both sides of roads in Wards 1 to 9, whereas Zone B comprises areas beyond this limit.
•The location factor values have been fixed at 3 for Zone A and 2 for Zone B per square meter.
These Bye-laws shall come into force from March 10, 2026.
