The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), under Paragraph 5 of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013 (DPCO, 2013), has proposed the retail price of the formulation Glimepiride IP 0.5 mg + Voglibose IP 0.2 mg + Metformin Hydrochloride IP 500 mg (Sustained Release) manufactured by Windlas Biotech Ltd. and marketed by Primus Remedies Pvt. Ltd..
Based on November 2025 market data, NPPA worked out the retail price of the formulation at ₹8.85 per tablet (excluding GST) under the prescribed methodology for retail price fixation. The applicant had claimed a price of ₹11.00 per tablet (excluding GST); however, the Authority determined that the admissible retail price should be ₹8.85 per tablet (excluding GST).
Accordingly, NPPA proposed fixing the retail price of the said formulation at ₹8.85 per tablet, exclusive of GST, for compliance under the provisions of DPCO, 2013.
