The National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on June 22, 2026, notified regarding the 2.5% Event-Based Additional Surveillance Margin on Coriander Contracts till July 14, 2026.
It has re-triggered an Event-Based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) of 2.5% on Coriander contracts due to significant price volatility observed in the commodity. The margin has been imposed after Coriander breached both the 5-day price movement threshold of 10% and the 10-day price movement threshold of 15% on June 22, 2026, based on the High-Low variation formula prescribed by the Exchange.
The additional margin will be applicable to all existing Coriander contracts as well as contracts yet to be launched and will remain in force until July 14, 2026. No E-ASM has been triggered for other monitored commodities, including Barley, Castor Seed, Guar Gum, Guar Seed, Jeera (including Jeera Mini), and Turmeric. NCDEX has clarified that all other applicable margins will continue to be levied in addition to the 2.5% E-ASM requirement.
