The Ministry of Steel (MoS) on June 20, 2026, issued the Steel and Steel Products (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2026, to further amend the Steel and Steel Products (Quality Control) Order, 2024.
The following has been stated:
In the Steel and Steel Products (Quality Control) Order, 2024, - (a) in Schedule 1, enforcement of IS Number and IS Title at serial numbers 23 and 129 and the entries relating thereto shall not be operative for a period of 3 years from the date of publication in the gazette.
(b) In Schedule 1, enforcement of IS Number and IS Title at serial numbers 51,52 and 53 and the entries relating thereto shall not be operative for a period up to 31st March, 2027, from the date of publication in the gazette.
It shall come into force on June 22, 2026.
