The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) on June 22, 2026, notified regarding the Commencement of Jan Vishwas Act Amendments Relating to Drugs and Cosmetics Act from June 30, 2027.
The Central Government has notified June 30, 2027 as the effective date for bringing into force specific provisions of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026.
These provisions pertain to Serial No. 8 of the Schedule of the Act, which relates to amendments made under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.
Accordingly, only the specified amendments concerning the Drugs and Cosmetics Act will become operational from the notified date, while other provisions of the Act may come into force separately.
