The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) on June 20, 2026, notified enforcement of Jan Vishwas Act Amendments to Inland Vessels Act from June 30, 2026
The Central Government has notified June 30, 2026 as the date on which specific provisions of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026 will come into force.
These provisions relate to Serial No. 75 of the Schedule of the Act, concerning amendments made to the Inland Vessels Act, 2021.
Accordingly, the amendments linked to inland vessel regulations will become effective from the notified date, while other provisions of the Act may be implemented separately.
