The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on June 22, 2026, issued a notification regarding enforcement of Jan Vishwas Act Amendments relating to the RBI Act, 1934.
The following has been stated:-
•The Central Government has notified 23 June 2026 as the effective date for bringing into force the provisions of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026 relating to Serial No. 7 of the Schedule.
•These amendments specifically pertain to the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.
•The notification has been issued under Section 1(2) of the Act.
