The Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) on June 22, 2026, issued a notification regarding enforcement of Jan Vishwas Act amendments relating to the Coir Industry Act, 1953.
The following has been stated:-
•The Central Government has notified June 22, 2026, as the effective date for bringing into force the provisions of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026 relating to the Coir Industry Act, 1953.
•The notification specifically covers Serial Number 18 and the corresponding entries in the Schedule to the Act.
•These amendments are aimed at implementing the reforms introduced under the Jan Vishwas Act.
•The provisions became operational from June 22, 2026.
