The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) on June 22, 2026, issued a notification regarding the addition of Haldia Seaport as an Authorized Immigration Check Post.
The following has been stated:-
•The Central Government has amended its notification issued under the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025.
•Through this amendment, Haldia Seaport in West Bengal has been added to the list of authorized seaports under Category II (Seaports).
•It has been inserted as Serial Number 41 in the notified table.
•The amendment expands the designated immigration check-post facilities available at Indian seaports.
