The Government of Madhya Pradesh on June 19, 2026, issued the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Grid Interactive Renewable Energy Systems Related Matters) Regulations (Revise-11], 2004(First Amendment) [ARG-39(II of 2026) to further amend the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Grid Interactive Renewable Energy Systems Related Maters) Regulations (Revision-111, 2004, (RG-39(1) of 2004).
The following amendments have been stated:
• A new Regulation 2(1)(1) to be added after Regulation 2(1)(a) of the Principal Regulations, namely: -
"2(1) (u1) "PM Surya Ghar Maft Bijli Vojna" or "PMSG:MBY" means a scheme launched by Government of India on 29.22.2024
• A new proviso, shall be inserted after existing Regulation 6(d) of the Principal Regulations, namely:-
"Provided that prosumers applying for net metering connections under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna (PMSG:MBY) shall not be required to pay aforesaid processing fee."
• A new proviso, shall be inserted after first proviso of existing Regulation 6(i) of the Principal Regulations, namely: -
"Provided further that in case of net metering connections to be served under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna (PMSG MBY), no separate agreement shall be required to be executed. In such case, the agreement shall be appended in the application form itself and shall be executed on-line at the time of application."
• A new proviso, shall be inserted after existing Regulation 6(j) of the Principal Regulations, namely:-
"Provided that the Licensee shall not charge any fee for testing of meters in net metering connections to be served under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna (PMSG:MBY)."
