The Government of Gujarat has introduced the Viksit Gujarat Industrial Policy 2026, effective from June 01, 2026 for a period of five years, with the vision of transforming Gujarat into a globally competitive, innovation-driven and sustainable industrial powerhouse aligned with the goals of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The following has been stated:
The policy focuses on attracting quality investments, promoting advanced manufacturing, strengthening exports, generating employment, and ensuring balanced regional development across the State. To encourage industrial growth, the policy offers a comprehensive package of incentives including capital subsidies, interest subsidies, power tariff support, startup assistance, R&D incentives, and special benefits for MSMEs, women entrepreneurs, large-scale investors and projects in thrust sectors. The policy also emphasizes skill development, innovation, industrial infrastructure, worker housing, environmental sustainability and ease of doing business, thereby positioning Gujarat as a preferred destination for investment, manufacturing and technology-driven growth.

• Drones, Robotics, Toys, Sports Goods, Footwear and more.
