The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoC&I) on June 24, 2026, issued a notification regarding the enforcement of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026, Provisions Relating to the Tea Act, 1953.
The following has been stated:-
•The Central Government has notified June 24, 2026, as the date on which the provisions of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026, relating to Serial No. 17 and the Tea Act, 1953, shall come into force.
•This notification has been issued under Section 1(2) of the Act.
