The Ministry of Mines, on June 23, 2026, issued a notification regarding the enforcement of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026, Provisions Relating to the Offshore Areas Mineral (Development and Regulation) Act, 2002.
The following has been stated:-
•The Central Government has notified August 01, 2026, as the effective date for provisions under Serial No. 57 of the Schedule to the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026.
•These provisions relate to the Offshore Areas Mineral (Development and Regulation) Act, 2002.
•The notification has been issued under Section 1(2) of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026.
