The Ministry of Coal, on June 23, 2026, issued a notification regarding the Enforcement of Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026, Provisions Relating to the Coal Mines Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1948.
The following has been stated:-
•The Central Government has notified the date of publication of this notification as the effective date for provisions under Serial No. 12 of the Schedule to the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026.
•These provisions relate to the Coal Mines Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1948.
•The notification has been issued under Section 1(2) of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026.
