The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoC&I) on June 23, 2026, issued a notification regarding the enforcement of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026, Provisions Relating to APEDA Act.
The following has been stated:-
•The Central Government has notified June 23, 2026, as the effective date for implementing provisions under Serial No. 50 of the Schedule to the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026.
•These provisions relate to amendments concerning the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) Act, 1985.
•The notification has been issued under Section 1(2) of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026.
