Industry Specific Compliance The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoH&UA) on June 24, 2026, notified the effective date of the amended provisions of the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971, issued under the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026.

The Government has notified July 01, 2026, as the commencement date for the provisions of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026, relating to Serial No. 36 of the Schedule, which amends the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971.
