Secretarial ComplianceThe Multi-Commodity Exchange of India Ltd. (MCX) on June 25, 2026, notified regarding the mock trading session on Sunday, June 28, 2026.

The following has been stated:

• It has informed members that a Mock Trading Session will be conducted on Sunday, June 28, 2026, to test trading systems and disaster recovery (DR) readiness. The mock session will commence with a special session from 8:55 AM to 8:59 AM, followed by trading from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Primary Data Centre (PDC). During the last few minutes of the session, MCX will simulate a disaster by abruptly disconnecting trading from the primary site and disabling member logins. Trading will then resume from the Disaster Recovery Site (DRS) between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. 

• Members using the CTCL facility have been specifically requested to participate through the MCX Enhanced Trading Interface (ETI) API Version 1.4.2 and are encouraged to test their own disaster recovery arrangements during the exercise. Participation is available through existing leased-line connectivity and internet users can access the mock session through their live SSL VPN credentials. 

• The circular also reiterates the default password policy for MTS and MCS users. Newly created or reset user IDs will have a default password in the format Mcx@ddmm (based on the reset date), which shall be changed immediately upon login. Passwords shall be 8–12 characters long and contain upper-case letters, lower-case letters, numbers, and special characters.
