Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity Clearing Limited (NCCL) on June 25, 2026, issued a circular regarding the Scheme of deposit for acceptance of Government Securities, Treasury Bills, and Sovereign.

The following has been stated:-

•National Commodity Clearing Limited (NCCL) has revised the list of eligible Government Securities, Treasury Bills, and Sovereign Gold Bonds accepted as collateral towards Additional Base Capital (ABC), along with the applicable haircut rates. 

•The updated framework provides for daily valuation of these securities, with collateral value determined after applying the prescribed haircut, and specifies conditions for acceptance, discontinuation, and withdrawal of benefits before maturity. 

•Banks acting as Clearing Members must ensure such securities are not counted for SLR purposes or used for trading. 

•The revised list and haircut details provided in Annexure 1 will be effective from the beginning of the trading day on July 01, 2026.
