The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on June 25, 2026, notified regarding the revised ratios for the conversion of USDINR 1 million equivalent.
The following has been stated:
• The circular revises the USD conversion ratio for determining the threshold for disclosure of underlying exposure in the Currency Derivatives segment. Effective July 30, 2026, entities must ensure that their aggregate positions across all exchanges remain within the prescribed limit of USD 100 million equivalent based on the revised conversion ratio. Where positions exceed this threshold, clients are required to provide disclosure of their underlying exposure to the Trading Member, in accordance with the existing framework.
• Entities shall also continue to comply with the position limits specified in the earlier Exchange circular dated April 29, 2015.
• The conversion factor prescribed under the Exchange circular dated March 25, 2026, will remain applicable until July 29, 2026.
