Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on June 24, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Review of Circulars issued under Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (FEMA).

The following has been stated namely: -

• The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has reviewed FEMA circulars issued since June 01, 2000, and withdrawn those that are outdated, redundant, overlapping, or superseded by newer regulations. 

• Authorised Persons (such as banks and other authorised dealers) are instructed to inform their customers and other concerned constituents about this withdrawal. 

• This circular is issued under Sections 10(4) and 11(1) of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (FEMA), and does not replace or affect any other approvals or permissions required under other applicable laws.
