The Ministry of Communications (MoC) on June 25, 2026, notified regarding the launch of the Online Portal for Telecommunication Service Authorisations and License Migration under the Telecommunications Act, 2023.
The following has been stated:
• The Ministry has announced the operationalisation of the Telecom eServices Portal for accepting online applications for fresh telecommunication service authorisations and migration of existing licences to the new authorisation framework under the Telecommunications Act, 2023.
• This follows the notification of the Telecommunication Authorisation Rules and License Migration Rules on June 23, 2026, implementing a "digital by design" approach for processing applications.
• The portal also ends the interim suspension on acceptance of new telecom licence applications that had been in effect since November 10, 2025, pending the rollout of the new authorisation regime.
