The Transport, Roads & Buildings, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh on June 25, 2026, notified the revised rates of taxes on contract carriages covered by all-India tourist permits.
The Government has amended the notification G.O.Ms. No. 31, dated May 12, 2023, issued under the Andhra Pradesh Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1963, by revising the quarterly motor vehicle tax applicable to contract carriage vehicles covered by All India Tourist Permits. Under the amendment, vehicles permitted to carry more than 12 passengers will be liable to pay a quarterly tax of ₹2,500 per passenger (excluding the driver) based on the vehicle's permitted seating capacity.
