The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on June 29, 2026, issued a notification regarding the review of Fire Safety Compliance across All Establishments.
The following has been stated:-
•The ESIC Headquarters has expressed serious concern over the non-submission of Fire Safety Compliance Status Reports by several Regional Offices despite repeated reminders.
•The concerned Regional Directors have been directed to submit the prescribed Annexure-A report within 10 days, failing which responsibility for the delay will be fixed on them.
•All ESI establishments have been instructed to urgently review fire safety measures, rectify deficiencies, maintain valid Fire NOCs and AMC/CAMC contracts, and conduct regular inspections and mock evacuation drills.
•Regional Offices must submit consolidated reports covering all establishments, including ESIS-run hospitals, and thereafter furnish quarterly compliance reports.
•ESIC has emphasized that the safety of patients, beneficiaries, employees, students, and visitors is of paramount importance, and the directions are to be treated as Most Urgent.
